Ocasio Cortez knows Romney/Obama care was a shity compromise with Big Insurance and the Repugs. Tallanver you might want to research beyond Fox and Friends and you will discover that Medicare for All would not have deductibles and then you can inform your guy Tracinski.

Why are Republicans and Conservatives OBSESSED with this Freshman Congressman-Elect who has even been sworn in? Because she is a Latina, who has socialist views? Maybe the old boogymen/women (Clinton, Pelosi) are not working any more and they have decided to go the racist route that worked for Trump? FoxNews has had segments on her throughout the day for a week.
Ocasio Cortez doesn't know much of anything detail wise, but i must say I'm impressed with her performance art. She's got a grasp intuitively of issues affecting people and how to bludgeon people with anecdotal evidence and how it lures them into the world of partisanship. In a way, i find it ironic, because the methodology is basically Donald Trump in a younger intersectional democrat form, the opponents get trapped into an argument of semantics over a problem issue, that post at the top about "which health plan costs more" is really an argument about "which screws people over more" but he doesn't realise it at all, and Tracinski is basically NBC "fact checking" Donald Trump, completely oblivious to what's really happening. The way she ousted a democrat power broker and how she's created a public image of herself is really quite impressive, in a results based industry, she's been doing very well, people of the "that's not how it should be done" variety will never be able to recognise the obviousness of the success its brought though.
LOL.....The only reason Fox News cares are they are trying to find a Villain to score those white Trump Voters. They were pushing the narrative she wanted to turn the US into Venezuela.....lol.

I don't think I ever got school off or work (private sector) for Columbus Day... only a "holiday" in name from my experience.
The largest employer in the United States: The Federal Government. My wife's new job (part of our state government) observes the holiday on a different day.
The reality is the Republicans are a tad bit smarter than the Democrats. This discussion can lead deep into the rabbit hole. But to answer your question, they are attempting to make AOC the face of the democrat party. Just like the left leaning media is attempting to make Trump the face of the Republican party. From a non-partisan view, its obvious Trump is using the right to float his presidency.
I think it's more reasonable to have the man chosen to be President to be the face of a political party as has been the case for past presidents at least from my memory?
Not on purpose, he never he even believed that he didn't. He was a dick who died never believing he had done what he actually did. He began the genocide on native populations in the new world. Most of the hype around him was a myth. People knew that the world was round, and a globe had already been made prior to Columbus journey. There is no reason to celebrate it. I don't really care that much if people do. I like when they don't only because there is no reason to. Also California celebrates Caesar Chavez day instead. That's much cooler.
