The Clinton Foundation must be next!

New York's Attorney General Sues The Trump Foundation
    June 14, 201811:22 AM ET

New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood is suing the Donald J. Trump Foundation and its board of directors over what she calls "extensive and persistent violations of federal law," her office announced Thursday.

The directors of the foundation named in the suit are President Trump and three of his children: Donald J. Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump.

The suit alleges "unlawful political coordination" with Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, "self-dealing" that benefits Trump's businesses and other violations of the law. Underwood's suit seeks to dissolve the Trump Foundation and collect nearly $3 million in penalties.

Trump quickly replied on Twitter: "The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000. I won't settle this case!"

"Schneiderman, who ran the Clinton campaign in New York, never had the guts to bring this ridiculous case, which lingered in their office for almost 2 years. Now he resigned his office in disgrace, and his disciples brought it when we would not settle," he added.

Donald Trump runs for President and now has the following legal troubles:

    • Summer Zervos sues for defamation
    • Stormy Daniels sues to break NDA
    • Karen McDougal sues to break NDA (indirectly)
    • DoJ will indict Trump's personal fixer, Cohen
    • New York's Attorney General sues the Trump Foundation
    • IRS investigates Trump Foundation's illegal charitable donations
    • Maryland and DC are suing over emoluments clause violations
    • Mueller indictments / plea deals
      1) George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty in October to making false statements to the FBI.
      2) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty in December to making false statements to the FBI.
      3) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted in October in Washington, DC on charges of conspiracy, money laundering, and false statements — all related to his work for Ukrainian politicians before he joined the Trump campaign. He’s pleaded not guilty on all counts. Then, in February, Mueller filed a new case against him in Virginia, with tax, financial, and bank fraud charges.
      4) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner, was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But in February he agreed to a plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statements charge and one conspiracy charge.
5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
      21) Richard Pinedo: This California man pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller.
      22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine.
      23) Konstantin Kilimnik: This longtime business associate of Manafort and Gates, who’s currently based in Russia, was charged alongside Manafort with attempting to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses in Manafort’s pending case this year.

Lol at the libtards of the board.

Trumps foundation donated more to charity than it took in. Trump knows this is nothing and has already publicly said he isn't going to settle.

This is nothing but a typical diversion tactic to essentially 'buy time'. See libtards, no one really knows what is in the IOG report right now, and your fake news media and deep state lovers need to buy time to come up with their talking points.

Watch: The fakenews media will be spending today chatting up this foundation lawsuit (which will go nowhere, you can watch that as well, wont even be discussed in a month). Then in a day or two after they have collaborated their spin on the IOG report they will be talking about that with their talking point orders.

The last thing they want to do is to be reporting and discussing the IOG report honestly & objectively which is what they would need to do with no time to collaborate.

The last thing they want to do is have their panel discuss their 'opinions' live as the news one by one contained in the report trickles out..

Odd I don't see any threads on this left leaning board on operation broken heart

Just in time for the mid-terms. It may bring out the voters in New York, but do they really need that kind of turnout?

In your mind, does not settling belie innocence?
What about the converse? If he does settle, does that imply guilt?
Like when he settled the lawsuit over Trump University for millions a couple of weeks after winning the election?

There is also the possibility of criminal referral.

    Good times.

Lets just see how correct I am. Lets keep track & see if this plays out exactly how I described.

    Currently:

    and CNN

I wonder why that last line of the text was deliberately redacted by such 'honorable' people?

Oh. Never forget all the fake news spin that was going on baiting libtards to believe that it was a crazy conspiracy theory and if anything Strzok helped Trump win.

LOL. There is almost zero daylight now between a right winger here on the board now, and Trump's own twitter feed. Almost word for word.

Whatever happened to the EVIDENCE in a case like this. If there is EVIDENCE that the Trump Foundation committed a crime, which obviously there is or the NY Attorney General wouldn't have risked their necks to file this, is the AG supposed to just NOT file a lawsuit?

Please.. Trump fans, tell me what an AG is supposed to do when a 2 year long thorough investigation concludes and shows evidence of crimes?

    .........

Plus... assuming the evidence is legit, the state AG is essentially just charging you with a fine now & barring you from sitting on the board of future charities. That's small potatoes instead of going to court over this and opening up depositions, etc. Why in the world would Trump not just pay this off and dissolve the Trump foundation so this story goes away? That's complete idiocy right there.

2014 tax year, the DJT foundation took in about $500,000 in contributions. In 2017, around $780,000. Interestingly enough in 2016 when he was the Republican nominee for President, the DJT foundation took in over $2,800,000. Casino magnate, Phil Ruffin, contributed $1,000,000 to the DJTF. Another $1,000,000 came from Marvel entertainment chairman Ike/Laura Perlmutter.

When the President said they dispersed more than they took in, that also includes expenses and fees. That is also in no way unique to the Trump Foundation. Him saying that is to appeal to his base that doesn't understand how foundations operate. The Foundation also submitted intent to dissolve notification in 2016.

As Whitney Houston said about her crack addiction, “show me the receipts”.

You think Trump can show them receipts?

by expenses, crooked Trump includes expenses paid to the Trump co, such as

$10K for a portrait of Trump that was hung at one of Trump's golf courses
$100K for the settlement of a lawsuit involving his Mara Lago resort
$32K to satisfy a pledge made by a private held entity controlled by Trump to a charitable land trust

legitimate charitable entities are supposed be devoted to charitable activities, instead the Trump Foundaton engages in above "self-dealing" activities that benefit Trump, his children and the Trump Co exclusively.
