18th annual Okie Noodling Tournament is coming up. It's a two-day event scheduled for June 16-17 in Pauls Valley's Wacker Park. This one is important because it benefits Phil Henderson, one of the pioneers of modern noodling. Phil was tragically killed in a car accident.

There's already more than 8 food vendors confirmed so you better get there early if you want to eat.

    3 Truths:

Yellow cats are the best eating catfish you can find.

Noodling is something that I would never want to do.

City people buy their meat/fish at the supermarket.

    I have noodled.

I went with some boys from Oklahoma and Arkansas.

I figured that I had done alligator wrestling, and a number of other stupid human tricks.... so why not noodling.

I will never do it again.

Years, and years ago, I saw a documentary on this on PBS. Thought it was pretty cool, but I would never do it.
