I can't ever recall being so tormented by the stros. Feels like I have a nucleaur war in my belly.

I swear, I don't even care that much about the Rockets right now. All I care about right now are the stros. I don't think I have ever felt this way before, I mean normally I am hoping for time to fly in order to have the NBA season start....but right now all I want is to see the Stros advance.

    Go Stros!

    Go Roy O!

    Stop the Chop!

    Here are my predictions:

1.) If Roy doesn't go at least 7 innings, then I think we lose this game.

2.) If we get into another pissing contest between our middle relief and their middle relief, then I think we lose this game. This obviously is tied to #1 above.

3.) If the Astros don't score more than 2 runs, then I think we lose this game.

4.) If Qualls or Miceli pitches, then I think we lose this game.

5.) If Roy goes 7 with us having the lead and Lidge comes in to wrap it up, then we win this game.

6.) If Oswalt is hit hard or leaves with us in a deficit, then I think we lose this game.

7.) If we score more than 6 runs, then we win this game regardless.

Those are my criteria for a successful Astros game. Make it so or I'll be damned.

I watched most of the 1980 series, including all of Game 5, as a senior in high school, believing all the home town stars were the greatest players ever....

I watched some of the 1981 series, I was in college then, and had other things on my mind....

I watched every pitch of every inning of every game of the 1986 series as a true fan would, even as my wife of one week waited for me....

I watched most of the 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001 series (I still hate Kevin Brown and Walt Weiss)....

I've watched all of this year's series...the feelings never change. I'm a nervous wreck right now. But I believe this is the year.....

I think #7 is especially important, with this damned braves offense (as ****ty as some of their hitters have been hitting) you do NOT want to try to win a "close" game which falls under the category of a lead 4 runs or less.

We've got to try to take wright out of the game early and often.

yeah, me too. I was too upset to be pissed off. I was at a loss of words. One of my friends showed up during the final inning. I couldn't say anything about the game..... I just turned it off as soon as I saw Kent hit the ball into a DP.

I really thought our luck was about to change. Men at the corners and Everette at 3rd. but no.....the worst thing that could happen happened.

man....this team is tearing me apart. I can't take much more of it.

    Go Stros.

    Stro’s win!!

    Astros 8
    Braves 2

We will unleash a massive inning in the 4th and never look back!

Glad the game starts at 7:00 so I won’t have to put up that paper cut out of myself at my desk again.

    I thought it was a 3pm game?!

EDIT: Nevermind....I just checked....damnit. I thought it was 1hr till game time. Now I gotta wait 5more hrs.....ugh.

I guess it is better for others, since most people aren't going to beable to leave work etc. if it was 3pm.

    oh well....

Where are the Austinites going to see the game tonite? I called Buffalo Wild Wings and the guy there told me the big screen and sound would be on the Astros game rather than MNF so I think I may head over there.

Are there are other places that could be better?

Surfguy: Agreed. It's as simple as this: If anyone other than Roy and Brad Lidge pitches tonite, we lose. Roy has to go 7.

Where has Harville been? Why use Springer over Harville on the past 2 games?
