    a. how you gonna miss a playoff game for a baby. that's regular season material there. even if i understand that's a terrible way to not have a PH.


    b. we brought in a pinch hitter who is 2 for 12 against lefties did they say? essentially a worhtless pinch hitter (who then proved he was worthless against lefties by swinging at crap) to take out oswalt? this is like pinch hitting for lidge against smoltz with 2 outs. just leave the damn pitcher in with 2 outs and very little hope for success.

    c. the bullpen is in, we're screwed. just try to give up less than 4 so we can come back.

    he wasn't even swinging for that. he was choked up to get a slapper or just get on base. Not go for a homerun.

    I can not agree any more strongly than I do. Oswalt has not been good today, but I'd take a sub-par Oswalt over anything we can throw for middle relief.

    I don't mind Roy being pulled ... The Cards best hitters had him locked in. I'll take my chances with our pen (amazingly).

    Damn, I'm really nervous. I hate to be a pessimist, but I don't like our chances with the way our bullpen has been lately. Hopefully they can step up big for the first time in the playoffs.

    kent couldn't hit .643 off a tee in this series. pujols is just stupid.
