Sorry for the late response but the problem here is the linesman initially ruling the touchdown which thereby supersedes everything else. We both know once the plane is broken with possession it's automatically a TD and players generally just hear the whistle and think the play is over. This created an advantage for Miami since Roethlisberger and other Steelers players clearly paused after the whistle before engaging in the cat-fight for the football. For that reason, along with Miami's audacity to play the excuse card after getting clearly outplayed/outgained compounded with the officiating crew simply following the NFL's rulebook for these situations -- I have little sympathy for Miami. Sure, it's a shaky call and undoubtedly a tough pill to swallow but the bottom line is Miami had key opportunities on both sides of the ball to win cleanly and couldn't do it. Again, they're like the guy that's down 2-3 balls in a game of pool that tries to win on a scratch. Forgive me if I don't share their belief that they should have been bailed out on the one-inch line.
man my opponent had hakeem nicks and nearly overtook me to win this week but then dez bryant pulls through in garbage time and had a monster game himself to solidify the W for me this week
I was leading by 10 coming into Monday Night with Ahmad Bradshaw left. My opponent had Hakeem Nicks and Dez Bryant. I got blown out.
The commentators are awful, they were very biased for the giants, praising eli manning like he was the best qb in the league. Next week they will be praising the colts, and will not give credit to the texans.
The theme of this week in the NFL.... The Vikings and Cowboys both SUCK. They will also not make the playoffs.
It was obvious what was important to the Cowboys this season. It also helped having Texans falling down on long pass plays.
Because they can't stand prosperity and have a sorry defense. My prediction was the Cowboys would win convincingly.
Just got done listening to Jerry being interviewed live on the sports radio show I listen to here in North Texas. His attempt to remain stoic in the face of this disgusting team he has created is laughable. He's very good at bottling his emotions and it is really not what fans want to see or hear from him. It feels a lot like Jerry status quo...Jerry trying to maintain control and normalcy. If he's upset, then I couldn't tell. He just takes it all in stride. Just shovel the pile of steaming **** on the fans, Jerry. It's the only thing you are good at.
The most disgusting thing I've seen in football...the defense quit when Romo went down. They hung their heads and moped. They didn't attempt to step up. They laid down.
The exact same thing happened to the Longhorns in the MNC game last year when Colt went out of the game.
This. The defense pretty much quit when Romo went down and the game was still very winnable at that point. There needs to be a big shake up in Dallas in the upcoming off season.
