How is it that 2 non-playoff teams from a year ago,,,2 teams projected to be mediocre at best...get the Sunday night game in week 1? Especially when they have Green Bay vs SF scheduled? Makes no sense to me when you consider what they passed up.
my favorite moment from last night's games were the Bronco cheerleaders and this glorious shot: Spoiler Now for the game thoughts: 1. Denver's offense has some weapons, but expect more teams/defenses to exploit the TE's when they stay home for pass coverage...And expect fantasy owners to flock on their TE-Thomas, bc he looks to have a huge impact for the offense. 2. Is it just me, or does Welker find ways to drop a lot of passes at really inoppurtune times. Sure he had a couple of TDs, but he muffed a punt and dropped a relatively easy pass from Manning and lucked out that the Ravens didnt challenge the play. 3. The Baltimore Ravens need to figure out the pass rush, or scheme better bc they really couldnt disrupt Peyton's rhythm. 4. The Ravens desperately miss Anquain Boldin...they really shouldnt have traded him. 5. Flacco is who we thought he was, and if it werent for a bone headed play by a rookie, he couldnt have made it more obvious at where that pass was going. Heck I knew that pass was going for Rice presnap... 6. Denver's defense while very talented, is a bit overrated; their defense was really only effective once the Ravens OLine lost Oher for the game, and up to that point, Flacco really had time to pick apart the secondary. I didnt forget that an undermanned, and under-talented Raven team was leading 17-14 at the half. And they gave up 27 points. Thats a lot for a vaunted defense. Reminds me of that Jacksonville defense...oh that's right, it is being run by Jack Del Rio...lol 7. I know its early, but after watching the 49ers play in the preseason, and if this is supposed to be the best team in the AFC, lets just go ahead and give the title to the 49ers...
