Was the final first half play Mahomes' decision? People aren't gonna lambast him because he's awesome, young, and has already won a champion Foolish for KC to ever be overconfident when CIN beat them (comeback-style) earlier this month
Cincy defense had a whole lot to do with how KC played in the 2nd half. Yes, Mahomes was not his usual brilliant self, but there was a reason for it.
Oh they are letting him have it over at the r/KansasCityChiefs forum on Reddit. Actually, I wasn't expecting the Chiefs to win because I watched the previous game between KC and Cin where Chase shredded the Chief's secondary. The Chief's defense is absolute crap and they are too dependent on Mahomes having to play superhero ball to bail them out. So when PM screwed the pooch at the end of the 1st half, came out playing the way he did in the 2nd half, and the defense giving up an 18 point lead KC had no answer for a Bengals team that made smart defensive adjustments and would not quit. This was a vintage Andy Reid production which I saw enough of in Philly. The coaching decisions were just pathetic (not running the ball in the 2nd half or taking the field goal at the end of the 1st half) and what the heck was that series with 1st and goal inside the Bengals' 5 yard line which would forced Cincy to score a TD in order to win (not that the KC defense could have stopped them)?
Just my opinion, but I think that both the Chiefs and Titans are better than the Rams. I think the 49's would have been the tougher game.
no I was at work but to me i think stafford is a choker and luckily he didn’t face the packers in the nfc championship. He’s not winning the Super Bowl against a burrow lead bengals. He’s about on the same level as goff if not worse. The move looks lateral at best.
