Mark Sanchez is so lucky to be in this situation. Rookie year in the league, he didn't play great at all, but having the best rushing offense and defense in the league has carried him to this point.
Chargers were the better team in talent, but this game was won by the men on the sidelines. When the Chargers had a fourth and short, down 10 with 5 minutes, Norv's balls shriveled up and he sent in a kicker (one with reeling confidence who had already missed two kicks) for a 40+ yard kick. Then, of course, the decision to go onsides with the kickoff. Meanwhile, the Jets had a fourth and short with 1:20 left, and Rex Ryan had guts and didn't leave it to a long kick. There's your difference.
Almost everyone had the Bengals against the Jets, the Jets pull it out. Almost everyone had the Chargers against the Jets, the Jets pull it out. Everyone's going to have the Colts against the Jets. I'm not a superstitious man so I don't actually think there's a "pattern" developing here, but you can't deny that teams are completely underestimating the Jets. If the Colts look past them, they'll lose too. If they take them seriously like they should, then the Colts will SMASH THEM. Manning>Rivers, Colts weapons>Chargers weapons. I cannot envision the Jets beating the Colts. Indy is so advanced offensively, and their defense has gotten really good too.
exactly, and if peyton manning were the qb of this team they probably would have gone undefeated... game on b****es
He didn't even play good... or average. He was bad. They've made it this far despite his inexperience and poor play.
lol at the Chargers....they seriously choke every year with all that talent....sad..bye bye Norv...LT has been washed up a good while now
Well I would say that I feel your pain because I remember when the Broncos lost their first playoff game at home, IIRC, in the '96 season to the Jaguars and this is after they had won like 13 or 14 games and had HFA throughout the playoffs. But..... I am not because: 1) I hate the Chargers with all of my being so seeing them lose (even if it was to a NY sports team) always fill me with happiness and you can blame that on your punk ass QB Rivers and LB Merriman - 2 people who make it impossible to like. 2) I knew that the Broncos were close to being a SuperBowl team even after they lost that game and I was proven right when they won back to back Super Bowls the following 2 seasons. The Chargers?? They should NEVER be seriously considered a Super Bowl contender as long as they have that joke Norv Turner as a coach. But hey as a Broncos fan, I am not going to complain - keep Norv as your coach forever and get ready for epic FAILS in the playoffs like what happened today.
