    Dumb, dumb, dumb- on everyone's part. The Nets need to blow it up, save some salary, and tank; and Lopez and Young need to get far, far away from that mess of a franchise.

    No reason to tank. Their idiot GM traded away all their picks. Only thing they can do now is toil in mediocrity and pray for a miracle.

    At least they gave him only 3 years and not 5 and they put in injury protections. So it could be much worse. But thad young..thats a very bad contract.

    Except they gave away all of their draft picks. Tanking doesn't do anything to help them. They're just screwed.

    the nets really don't have any other options

    don't keep lopez/thad - still not much cap space, they suck -> pick goes to boston/whoever

    tank - they suck - > pick goes to boston/whoever

    not much they can do until cap rises and joe johnson contract is over

    They've made playoffs for 3 years in a row, it looks like that's the order from Moscow. They'll probably make them again. Not every team wants to fight for championships or blow it up.
