Netflix has released a new full trailer for its sci-fi drama “Spaceman” starring Adam Sandler. The film is currently slated to hit the service on March 1st next year. Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka, he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanušs works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late. The film is based on Jaroslav Kalfar’s 2017 novel “Spaceman of Bohemia” and is directed by Emmy-wining filmmaker Johan Renck (“Chernobyl”) from a screenplay written by Colby Day. Carey Mulligan, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, with Isabella Rossellini and Paul Dano co-star with the latter playing the spider-like creature from the beginning of the universe. Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, and Michael Parets produce whilst Renck, Ben Ormand and Barry Bernardi are executive producers. https://www.darkhorizons.com/new-trailer-adam-sandler-is-spaceman/
That looks really good........Sandler has been doing well with these types of films......Uncut Gems was really good, glad to see him branch out into drama
i dont know the source material, but is this a Project Hail Mary knock off? Looks like Hail Mary came 4 years after, so i guess not
Not for everyone, but!, but the novel is weird and great, as I assume and hope this film will be Background and possible spoilers here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceman_of_Bohemia
Must admit, after reading the wiki I no longer feel I need to watch the movie. Not a bad thing for me, too much time spent watching dumb shows as is.
It was interesting but for some reason I felt satisfied just reading the plot summary. I do that frequently as spoilers don't bother me but wasting time does.
Seems like the critics never like his Netflix movies but they always draw very high numbers of viewers, which is all Netflix cares about.
OH MY GAWD The changes they made is what made it even more boring This synapsys would have at least had SOME interesting parts Now More than ever this movie is Hot Garbage Rocket River
I normally avoid cookie cutter Netflix sci fi films (too much burn) but will put it on the list. ...at least i know to bail after 30 mins
Honestly . . . after reading the source material . . .i'm more bothered It fell into navel gazing smelling their own farts level of "introspection" Unless I had a epilectic seizure of dozed all the way off . . .. There was a whole lot missing Rocket River
