Thabo sucks, Green sucks, the answer is a Center and we don’t have one. Season will be over for us shortly.
uhm NO i am not worried about jeff green. EGO is the concern. will he ever get back to what he used to be ?
This is ridiculous, the knee jerking around here is over the top. Just this year he dropped a career high of 50 points. Has he been inconsistent? Yeah, and injury prone too. However, hasn't been good for along time is fake news of the Trumpish level.
Good thing he is under contract for a few more years! Lol! Maybe he needs to go back to picking on the second units because that is where he excelled.
Was there ever a playoffs where EG didn’t show up? Was there ever a playoffs where Jeff Green did? /Story...
Haha. I am so ready to re-visit this come playoffs. I hope you’re right but I’m almost positive you will be wrong. Though “most important bench player” is quite different from “good” seeing our bench will be Rivers Green Mclemore House and Carroll. Not much competition. I do think Rivers is key though.
Do they usually give out 4 year 75 million dollar contracts out to people that haven't "been good for a long time" regularly? Cause truth be told I.. me.. this guy with two thumbs typing.. haven't been good for a long time.
something i've always brought up when the rockets were so thin in depth, after the 17-18 year. huge different maker if there were 1 or 2 extra guys that could actually contribute
With Jeff Green on the court, the Rockets have a 120.6 offense rating and a 108.8 defensive rating. When he’s off the court, the teams’ offensive rating drops to 108.2, and their defensive rating shoots to 110.2. Effective field goal percentage, pace of play, and rebounding also all improve with Green on the court. He provides something Covington and Tucker can’t: a big make who has the outside shooting along with ball-handling skills to run your offense through. https://spacecityscoop.com/2020/07/26/jeff-green-important-houston-rockets-bench/amp/3/ Green's skillset complements PJ rather than mirrors it. Longer and better lob threat, roller and rim protector than PJ. Also capable of being 3rd facilitator/creator and shoots 3ball better than anyone on roster (41%). Only Luc or Bruno can provide what Green can. Heck with bench, start him.
trust me he right. i been saying this as well for a minute. green is basically a poor mans serge ibaka....or what he would be on this team...i really wait ibaka btw but in ghe meantime green does everything i feel lbaka would do here.
Like I said, I prefer Green to Thabo because of his ability to knock down shots and drive when there's opportunity.
Gordon has always shown up in the playoffs for us. Hitting big shot after big shot over a number of years. You're correct, we shouldn't be too concerned with him.
