Hey guys, I was hoping somebody might be able to diagnose a problem I'm having w/ my Sony VAIO laptop. As of yesterday, the screen is incredibly dark whenever the machine is on. When I say dark, I mean it looks as if the contrast has been turned down to nothing, as you can barely make out what is actually on the computer screen. My wife was the one who discovered it and she immediately thought that a lightning surge was the culprit, although I'm not as sure, given the fact I didn't see much lightning around the Austin area yesterday, even though we did get some much needed rain. Anyway, have any of you all ever experienced anything like this or could somebody perhaps point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help,
