NBA should make one rule change...

    Your attitude is what makes players like Steve Francis what he is.

    BTW, the goaltending rule is exactly intended to mininize certain "individual talent", namely, the ability to get your hands above the rim to swat away any ball that is about to fall through the hoop. But that individual talent would keep the scores of most NBA games 0-0 after nth OT.

    Rules are made to make the game more meaningful. If clear-out ISO made the word "team" as in "team sport" meaningless, then a rule change might be a good thing--unless, of course, you want to re-categorize basketball as an individual sport instead of team sport.

    What if we split the difference and made the NBA a 3-on-3 league. You could still have bench players and all that, but this would really address the problem of talent dilution. Think of the best three players from every team, with four more on the bench. Of course, the union would never go for this, or, well... anybody else other than me. :D

    The more skilled, athletic players can go for layups much more easier.
