No, it's a valid point and was a genuine question. Rondo was at like 50% at best and it helped the Heat immensely. However, they were up 2-0 at that point anyway. If you don't think the tide shifted after the Wade injury, you're just kidding yourself. I would just like to hear what % he was at. Oh you mean the game where he took 19 shots to get 21 points? You guys need to get off his Dirk. He was lucky that Terry/JJ carried them in game 6.
LeBron from his website: Congratulations Mavericks on the championship ...especially Dirk, J.Kidd, & Terry who have done so much for our league and worked so hard to get here. They deserve all the credit for what they have accomplished. Thank you to all my family, friends and especially the fans for standing by me this year. Miami fans are incredible. A special thank you to my teammates, coaches and Pat Riley and Micky Arison for all of their support. A lot to learn from this year, a lot to build on, and a lot of work to do this summer. -LeBron James
I assume it's 100% unless dwade says something different the series shifted once terry and barea started hitting the shots and making the plays they were during the 1st three rounds
Dirk has had very good teammates for most of his time in Dallas. This team is completely different from the other title contending supporting cast they built around him.
That team was hungrier and also older. They also had a better supporting cast outside of the Big 3. And I'm sure playing LA and having that Boston/LA rivalry in the mix didn't hurt either. Too bad LeBron wasn't as aggressive as their vets in the Finals.
And the piling on continues... http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/...t_id=20465038&vkey=pr_t443&fext=.jsp&sid=t443
LeBron clarified his responses yesterday. He wasn't trying to say he was superior to anyone, but trying to say that the season is over now and everyone must move on. After hearing his response and reading his answer again I actually believe him.
LOL - worst.assumption.ever No one is 100% at this time of year esp Wade who wasn't close to that. There was a reason he didn't come out in the second half of game 5. He isn't Wolverine and can't miraculously zap back to 100 %.
should it matter though i mean he said this after game 4 when dirk was running his fever basically if he was able to play he is fine if he was really hurt that bad he would not have played or tried playing. wade cant be all of a sudden be held unaccountable or given a pass because he was not 100% he himself says he wasnt going to do the same to the mavs.
It doesn't matter. Injuries are a part of the game. I think his quote is a subtle jab at Dirk. He didn't want to make a big deal out of it. The media would have ripped Wade and Lebron a new one if they were up there sniffling like Dirk was but praised Dirk for playing through it. Wasn't Lebron sick in the Chicago series? Where was the "fun-loving story" for Lebron? The criticism of Lebron and the Heat is media-driven and way over the top. Anyway, it was a question to gauge how healthy Wade was after the collision. He didn't look the same to me afterward. Definitely not the same player we saw in game 3. Whatever helps you sleep better at night. Regardless, the Mavs are the champs. I'm not taking anything away from them. It's an honest question and one that really hasn't been discussed.
Yeah, that's definitely PR damage control after his comments from yesterday. I'll bet Nike drafted this for him.
