As the title says how do they compare? I played Football for the first time last season and this being my 2nd year I really enjoy it. And now I'm thinking about the nba. Does anyone have an annual league on here? I would like to join if possible.
NBA leagues are a bit more tedious. Not as bad as baseball, but you will need to babysit your roster constantly if you want to win in a competitive league. Also the drafts are different because if you're basing off a standard scoring format, you aren't drafting for pure points, you're drafting for categories. For instance, if your first pick is Chris Paul, you'll look to add players in the draft who will get assists and steals so you can win those categories each week.
NBA is boring to me. You pick a strategy. You draft. Your strategy may change mid-draft (am I punting FT's and taking Dwight?) You hawk the wire. You trade. But during the week you just play your guys. There's no taking matchups into account.
Which is why I've always preferred our Fanstar league which uses a cumulative points system. It makes more sense to me than yahoo's rotisserie H2H format. More closely resembling fantasy football scoring.
My league is looking for more players. You're welcome to join It's H2H like fantasy football Weekly lineups (set your lineup once a week. strategy in picking players with 3 or 4 games) Leave your email and I'll shoot you an invite!
Make it H2H like football. Replace waiver wire with auction wire (not with real money, just a virtual allowance - people bid on FAs), choose weekly lineups so it adds a number of games played strategy (player A might be better than player B but player B plays 4 games this week and player A only plays 2)
