TNT won three awards, including best daily studio show for Inside the NBA, best editing for the NBA on TNT, and best studio host for Ernie Johnson. It is the second win for Johnson, and the third for Inside the NBA. The introduction to the 2006 NBA Finals on ABC was honored twice, receiving the Emmy for Outstanding Production Design/Art Direction and the Emmy for Outstanding Open/Tease. The two-minute intro, which aired on ABC prior to each game of the Finals, celebrates the storied history of the NBA Finals with a walk through a hall of greatness, showcasing great moments, images and historic voices from the 60-year history of the NBA's crowning championship.
