I'm 6'3", and I walked directly past PJ Tucker last season at the hotel in New Orleans, and I was pretty shocked to see that he was not much taller than me. This dude sometimes plays center in the NBA.

If these two semi-realistic things happen:

    - Westbrook can hit over 33% of his 3's.
    - Both of them replace their reduced usage with slightly better defense.

Then we are looking at the best backcourt in NBA history (Harden/Westbrook/Gordon/Rivers).

Even if it's a catastrophe, they will be top 3 this season.

What's wrong with Gordon and Tucker? One is capable of scoring 20 plus and the other is / should be an all defensive player

One is a guard (Gordon) and the other should be coming off the bench at his age and size (Tucker). Both are very good and useful players but both are ideal off the bench, both are undersized and both have limitations.

Most of the time smaller teams will play at a fast pace, but not us. We will even slowdown the pace when the other team wants to run.

That's called small ball. Thought you knew. The pressure is not necessarily on Westbrook but the pressure is on the bench

I totally buy the Gordon off the bench argument. But I think Tucker should start. You don't need a defensive stopped coming off the bench, you need him to start and not need the ball with our backcourt.

It's ironic but Royce White would be a good fit for our pf spot right now.

Small ball is usually at a very quick pace that a larger player can’t keep. We give away ALL physical advantage by slowing down the pace.

You are absolutely right, you are not #1.

And why do speak about yourself in the plural?

Surprised by this opinion tbh. I think Tucker at his age and height is a starter on 25 teams.

Here's a not so secret secret: MDA's ignorance of the well known connection between fatigue and shooting might be the only reason he hasn't won a title.

Same happened to Ariza, Marion, Nash, Harden, Gordon, etc. MDA thinks that if his team doesn't practice as much it shouldn't matter. It was a theory worth testing out. Has flat out failed several times imo.
