Just wandering how 2k12 is? Is it good? How's my player mode? What are the new features? Are the graphics better? How's the association mode? Just want to know. Im thinking about it. What do you guys think? Should I buy it?
since there is a lockout, in the "my player mode" you can choose to play in any europe league while there is no nba season.
Oh really that's cool. Like your player can sign anywhere like in Europe or china and foriegn leagues liek those? Can your player like negociate contracts liek how much for a year he'll make $$$?
Man he's kidding you, no Euro League, plain NBA. My Player has some issues, there are only 3 generated rookies playing in the game(the drafted rookies somehow don't even appear in the rosters) and the trading is outrageous. Your whole team will be traded for scrubs, some even had things like "62 rated rookie + Jennings for Bryant+Odom). It destroys the experience. CPU also shoots like 70% from downtown to win 80% of the games against you. The gameplay is superb, but online can be pretty laggy and you will be disconnected many times. There also several bugs and issues causing freezes. I'd recommend it though, gameplay really is 10x better than 2k11.
And yes, you can negotiate contracts. Look at the My Player insight, lots of details: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150285386202267
The realistic details are impressive. If you take a team with T Mac to the first round, it automatically goes to the game over screen.
It's not a bad game but it DEFINITELY needs to be patched up. The my player mode has the same dumb cpu trades. I played as a 6 11 center for the Rockets and the traded away Lowry and Jordan Hill for Mo Williams and some other guy. The reason they did that is because Jordan Hill wanted to be traded. Then they traded Kevin Martin and Scola for Tim Duncan and some other bum from the Spurs. The worst thing is that you can't turn off cpu trades on my player. Other things that are disappointing to me is that there is no help defense by the cpu. I mean they leave sharpshooters wide open. The cpu defense is really cheesy. Even if you're in the air, wide open for a dunk, the defender can easily slide in front of you and you end up pulling some crazy circus shot and missing. Three pointers are way too easy. And the dunk animation is pretty choppy if you ask me.
I only own a PS2. I came away disappointed with it. It's basically the same game as 2k11, just with the added legends and updated rosters. I wish I hadn't bought it.
I think it always assumes you're going to become a star player. I was drafted by the Wizards as a point guard and they traded Wall and Blatche for Jason Terry and Derrick Favors. If I end up becoming an 80+ PG that works out fine( in a few seasons) but my team really sucks now and its hard to build stats as a point guard when Rashard Lewis is the only person I can dish to (Terry always seems to deny me the assist by putting the ball on the floor.
Got my copy yesterday. Played my first 2 games. The customization in My Player is a bit too much (over 70 shooting forms, etc.). I really tried to create myself and compete with the NBA Elite. I shoot funny there though. The graphics are really not that impressive but its nice. Just 2K12.
