Both actually. Besides, economy has always taken priority over health with him.

It's a total economic class issue. Only certain people can flee to private schools. The public schools serve those who have no choice. The "choice" people call government education "a monopoly." I don't think everything needs to be for sale.

Yep. Kemp is the same governor that sued the mayor of Atlanta for enacting a mask policy in her city. Then, he tried to stop her from saying anything publicly that disagreed with his executive order banning local mayors from enacting such policies. It’s a close race between him and Ron DeSantis for the title of most despicable governor in America.

Cases of COVID-19 and hospitalizations in children under age 18 in Georgia have quadrupled since late June and early July, an analysis by the Augusta Chronicle found.

My mom and sister have both been reclassed as "vital" and must report in person in 2 days. They both work in special education.

This is scary. All these posts are actually. I hope teachers in Texas speak out if it happens here. That whole business of getting around contacting people sounds almost criminal. What is one of those kids who were exposed lives with someone at high risk. This whole thing should be aired on 20/20.

America today is all about hiding the reality of our situation.

I'm wondering if the school districts in the Houston area will be hiding the number of cases, or actually contacting everyone who was in their class, or just a couple students who sat next to the child. What about all the other kids they came across in the restroom, at the water fountain, hallway, etc. ... Kids leave class all the time, and sometimes that means lolly gagging around to and from.

Abbott needs to fix this, so everyone knows exactly what is happening in our schools with the Covid-19 situation when they reopen. Keeping the public and parents of school children in the dark is simply not acceptable. This isn't a Communist country.

TEXAS ISN'T TRACKING COVID-19 CASES AT SCHOOLS
A spokesperson for the Texas Education Agency said Thursday they are working with the Department of State Health Services on this issue.
