Reading this section, I'm not even 100% sure what the takeaway is of this whole thing. Sounds like Mueller is complaining more about the media being out of control than any inaccuracy in the "summary."

I think the takeaway is pretty clear from the whole letter. Mueller wanted Barr to release the report's official summary, which was carefully prepared for public consumption. Perhaps Congress can subpoena Mueller's summary or summaries and then release them as they see fit.

And there goes the rest of the trump supporter defense... the "why wasn't trump briefed?"

    This.

Mueller is what we in law call "making a paper trail" of his dealings with Barr so that there is no misunderstandings later on.

No, barr's redacted version of the Mueller Report was released, sent out after barr's summary of the report, which we are now finding out Mueller believes does not accurately reflect the findings of his report.

William Barr said( paraphrasing) " I did not exonerate the president. the report is out there. An election is coming in 18 months. People can read it and decide them self democratically. We dont want to use criminal justice system as political tool."

that is a reasonable statement and I can see an institutionalist thinking that way... only if he did not make is sound like he is exonerating president. now he is saying he did not. Robert MUeller is saying he did not. than who cleared the president ??
Lindsay Graham who said he did not read the report but read Barr Summary while Barr is saying he did not summarize ??

at this point i am not sure who cleared trump.. looks like he did it himself on Twitter :)

I think everyone that isn't a complete partisan hack can tell what William Barr was trying to do.

It is up to congress to decide if they want to continue investigating.

It is pretty clear there is evidence, as produced by Mueller, that Trump committed obstruction of justice.

It is also clear that William Barr purposely mislead the American public to make his boss look in the best light.

We all know that Donald Trump is a scumbag and a terrible human being, but that doesn't mean people will not vote for him or his policies.

The democrats better decide what they want to do.... personally I don't think impeachment is smart because everyone already knows Trump is crooked.

Mueller didn't charge obstruction. He could have. Barr and Rosenstein didn't charge obstruction. They could have.

Again, nobody can even identify a crime to clear someone of.

    Who cleared you of obstruction?

Mueller specifically stated in the report that according to DOJ guidelines a sitting president can't be indicted and, thus, left the decision of obstruction up to Congress. Also, what is with this argumentative tactic of just asking insanely stupid questions like "what crime?" or "who cleared you of obstruction?" You know damn well what everyone is talking about so quit pretending to be so obtuse.
