Just wanted to point out some numbers i find interesting...

    Team Year Regular season Postseason
Won Lost Ties Win % Finish Won Lost Win % Result
    HOU 2006 6 10 0 .375 4th in AFC South – – – –
    HOU 2007 8 8 0 .500 4th in AFC South – – – –
    HOU 2008 8 8 0 .500 3rd in AFC South – – – –
    HOU 2009 9 7 0 .563 2nd in AFC South – – – –
    HOU 2010 6 10 0 .375 3rd in AFC South – – – –
    HOU 2011 10 6 0 .625 1st in AFC South Divisional Round L
    HOU 2012 12 4 0 .750 1st in AFC South Divisional Round L
    HOU 2013 2 8 0 .200 not finished – – – –
    HOU total 61 61 0 .500

Just 3 seasons above .500 for Kubiak.

Kubiak is tied for 4th as Longest tenured NFL Coach. Lets compare...

2000 Belichick; 3 Super Bowls, 5 AFC Championships, 10 AFC East, 11 Playoff apperances
    2003 M. Lewis; 2 AFC North, 4 Playoff Births
2004 Coughlin; 2 Super Bowls, 2 NFC Championships, 3 NFC East, 5 Playoff Births
2006 Kubiak; 2 AFC south, 2 Playoff Births
2006 McCarthy; 1 Super Bowl, 1 NFC Championship, 3 NFC North, 5 Playoff births
2006 S. Payton; 1 Super Bowl, 1 NFC Championship, 3 NFC South, 4 Playoff Births
2007 Tomlin; 1 Super Bowl, 2 AFC Championships, 3 AFC North, 4 Playoff Births
    2008 M. Smith; 2 NFC South, 4 playoff Births

One could argue that the Texans weren't as equipped as the other teams but, Kubiak hired his own GM and had 2 successful playoff appearances in a row only to see it go in the ****ter at 2-8.

While Kubiak took over a 2-14 Texans team...
    Sean Payton a 3-13 team.
    Mike McGarthy a 4-12 team.
    Tom Coughlin a 4-12 team.
    2008 John Harbaugh 5-11 team.
    All Champions.
Honorable mention; upstart teams with Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh.

It can certainly be point out that all of these teams have better QB's than Schaub. Which brings me to the point of my title, Kubiak made his bed with Schaub and now he lies in it.

Compared to these other coaches though, Kubiak has gotten pretty lucky being able to stick around with the exception of Marvin Lewis and Mike Smith.

based on what? Because he once wore maroon? Who cares? He's a good offensive coach but his teams do not win. 8 years is more than enough.

What I said eight years ago is still true; he is a good assistant coach. I have never thought being a head coach was his thing. I never thought Schaub was a starter.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
We've all seen flashes of Schaub's brilliance. While he's not a superstar, he shouldn't be playing this flat out bad.

Either way I'm happy for a change.

One Aggie out and another Aggie(Sumlin) in.
Yes, Sumlin is from Purdue, not A&M.

    And draft the Aggie QB
And the Aggie O-Linemen(not Matthews, Cedric Ogbuehi)
To go along with the Aggie punter Shane Lechler
And the Aggie kicker 'Fat Randy' Bullock

And Bob renames the team the Houston Aggies.

Agreed. The guy had a championship offense in the late 90s. He's a good offensive mind. But change is always good.

Correct me if im wrong in remembering this but, before they discovered Foster Schaub threw for 4500 yards in a more spread offense. Why doesnt Kubiak just revert back to that for Keenum? After watching Case play in the shotgun for so long at UH, seeing him taking snaps under center makes me uncomfortable.

There were a number of scouting reports that agreed that Schaub was a career back up. He did perform well at times, but even in the team's best season, under the prime time lights he turned back into a pumpkin. Flashes, yes. Kubiak has always been a pumpkin.

Nope, Bob will remove the female cheerleaders and put the 'yell leaders' out there.

Bob: "We played so poorly last year, I can't help but wonder if the cheerleaders were distracting our players. We've decided to remove them and go with 'yell leaders'.

All kidding aside, I wouldn't be surprised if Sumlin was roaming the Texans sidelines next year and years to come.
Not my choice or preference but whatever.

If the Texans win out their remaining games, I would then flip a coin to decide whether Kubiak stays. Let Kubes call it BEFORE the coin hits the ground!

Yeah...this means beating New England and Denver!
