hey soon to be fellow Texans - I am going to be moving out to the Ft. Worth area for a job next month and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what areas around there are good for apartments and the general price I should be paying. I know whatever it is it will be a lot cheaper than what I am paying here in LA, but I still want to live in a good area. Looking forward to this havent lived outside of Cali before and really looking forward to going to a bunch of Rockets games on the weekends this year. also any other general tips about the area if people would be awesome
Lol you guys And I didn't say dallas because it's not dallas. The building is in ft. Worth I am trying to stay as close to ft worth as possible.
Honestly having lived everywhere, Fort Worth is better than 90% of possibilities. It is clean, wealthy and most people are friendly. It has become pricy but not like California. Best advice I can give you is to try a Dallas board for ideas. Frisco is nice.... Oddly the area where the cop went robo cop on the black girl at the pool is a nice affluent area.
Too bad you're staying in south Oklahoma but at least you get to enjoy the Rockets closer than ever and piss off Mavs fans!
If you want to live in Fort Worth, check out the West 7th area or areas around TCU. Dallas has way more options, but Fort Worth has been getting better for intown living.
ft worth is nice man. dfw rocket is prob more helpful than me on this as i haven't lived up there in almost 10 years. if i were transferred to ft worth, i'd either live directly in the city or maybe out to someplace like grapevine/south lake and commute. do you want to live near your office? are you open to public transit (assuming it's near your office)? do you want to live near someplace with a nightlife?
