Just a great flick. One of those I watch again or DVR if I see it's coming on. Like the greatest SF flick of all time, Blade Runner, this superb fastasy wasn't given it's due when it came out, but has come to be appreciated.

 

Guess you're excited about the DVD treatment its getting that comes out this December? I think its called Blade Runner: The Final Cut. Apparently Ridley Scott oversaw the entire thing this time.

 

If I understand the situation correctly, he wrote it as a movie first and later wrote the book.

 

He wrote the book first for his kids. He had written other novels before PB (Marathon Man, Boys and Girls Together), but his kids loved his fairy tale stories he'd tell them at night. So, he wrote the book. After he wrote the book, he spent like the next dozen years trying to get it made into a movie.
