For you video game pervs out there: the lady who did the Sonya motion capture for MK3 did a bunch of nude pics back in the day. They're on the internet, not onlyfans.
This movie's biggest sin is that's it just wasn't fun. The original was dumb but it sure pumped you up. This takes itself too seriously, slows down with pointless exposition in the middle and doesn't feature near enough fight scenes to warrant its R rating. So all the mediocre aspects of the film I could look past at the start, were annoyingly bad by the end. The first seven minutes are truly the best parts of the film.
MK 1 at 30:50 is the only fight with substance. Mileena seems pretty distraught after losing to Kitana. MK 2 is juicier. Action starts at 6:25 with Liu Kang. There's a 3 and 4 if you go down the rabbit hole far enough.
If it wasn't for Kano, it would be subpar and unbearable. Thankfully, Kano was amazing and saved it. I think it's worth a watch for sure. And I'll definitely watch the sequel. Just don't have any expectations when you watch it and you'll be fine.
The middle part of this movie is tremendously boring. Not sure why these dummies put all this fanservice in the movie and thought making an original character in a franchise that has 1 million characters to choose from was necessary. The actual fighting wasn't good. We are in a renaissance of action choreography this wasn't it. I liked Jax.
That was my problem. It was MK Annihilation with updated cgi. But yeah... this flick had almost 20 times the budget of Raid 2 and none of the quantity fight choreography. Was hoping for some sweet combos that ended with a brutality since those combos play an important part I'm the game, but nope. Christ, man... the combat, even with it being in the title, was mediocre. I enjoyed the first more in the same manner that I enjoyed X-Men 3 better than the updated, newer Dark Phoenix. How sad is it to say that? Seriously with all the cheese, at least dial the cheese up to an eleven and have Mileena inhale somebody and spit out about 37 femurs and 9 ribcages.
I watched this yesterday...it was like a motion picture troll job the CGI was hilariously bad...they had this fire dragon, and that thing looked like a PS3 graphic the acting was so bad too Kano made me laugh a few times, and I died laughing when they did the “Get over here!” and “flawless victory” catchphrases overall, this movie was a comedy 4/10 just because of the laughs this reminded me of those low budget movies you’ll see on the Syfy channel like Sharknado or some giant spider movie
I don't have HBO Max so wasn't planning on seeing it anytime soon but based on reviews sad to see Hiroyuki Saneda and Joe Taslim wasted in such big roles.
So even it being rated R with the fatalities it still meh? Man you guys are hard to impress. It's basically the avengers with gore, LMAO. I'd rather watch 10 movies of MK than that marvel nonsense. Yeah I said it, come at me.
Not sure if serious. I still dont understand why people in the industry think gore makes an action scene movie or series better. The first movie in the MK franchise is still the best and it barely had any blood in it. sawing a person in half is not impressive, that's is easy compared to a good action scene. These guys were hoping that the gore would be enough, it wasn't IMO (i think the fandom is split) I would bet, even though the MK is a franchise built on shock value, people would have rather had lore and fight combos more than the blood.
