Pumped. I thought the reboot was great. Anyone want to go with me to see this? My wife and friends don't watch scary movies...
Weird, superhero soundtrack for this new trailer. The old one was better/scarier. So a thread already exists somewhere in here.
I’ve watched a handful of non-spoiler reviews, and I really hate to say it, but this is sounding like it could be a disappointment I might need to really lower my expectations the same issues were consistently being brought up It isn’t scary, and there’s not enough Pennywise? For real? please Lord, don’t let this movie go down like this...I’ve been looking forward to this for so long
agreed that it wasn’t that scary although it did have its creepy moments, but for the director and actors to be hyping this up for months talking about Pennywise is out for blood, he wants his revenge, he’ll be way more gruesome, etc and to then be hearing that he’s not in it too much and the scares just weren’t there has me feeling some type of way I pray this movie doesn’t let me down
watched the first one finally just the other night. agreed. entertaining but the scary/jump parts were given away by the music everytime. so knew it was coming
Snoozefest. Make sure you go to a movie joint that sells food to keep you up. I almost ordered a redbull. I really wanted to see 47 meters down instead.
My wife fell asleep around the 2 hour mark. I had trouble keeping myself awake as well. None of the scary scenes were scary and it felt super cheesy.
Yeah it's a disappointment but I always thought the adult portion of the book was the least interesting portion of the book and original mini series. This sequel doesn't change up much about it, so it's a slog through 3 hours of a few solid sequences but mostly just uninteresting side stories. I think it suffers a bit from Freddy Kruger syndrome, once Pennywise is out in the open more and more, he's just not that scary anymore. Some of the parts closer to the end were funnier than they were scary which is a shame.... I still gave it a B-
just remembered that I never gave my thoughts on this movie after seeing it... it was long as hell, and the ending was cartoonish...man, this hasn’t been a good year for movies the 1st one was easily a better film this is the type of movie I would watch at home and be surfing through my phone during the slow parts 3 hours for this? Nah man, it ain’t good enough to be running for that long... Hollywood, u need to stop it... 2019 has been a big L so far
This movie was absolutely horrible. Too much CGI, repetitive scares, some of the actors were terrible, and it was at least an hour too long. Not a fan 3/10
Jump-scares just weren’t scary. Too damn long. 2nd act was boring. Pennywise is more funny than scary IMO. Bill Hader bailed Richie. C-
