Saw this tonight. It's better than Godzilla vs Kong, no stupid kids running around trope. Lots of good fights, destruction, etc. Some of it is nonsensical, but nothing jumps out as a massive continuity error. Just lay back and enjoy it and Godzilla and Kong will pound you into a good time.
Was shocked we had like 30 mins of kaiju just being characters, almost like a silent film since they don't talk lolol. I dig the wrestling and grappling techniques hahaha
Y'all are surprising me, as I was definitely going to skip this pink-infused monster fest... are you putting over a massive troll job on older viewers?
If you like giant monsters fighting you get that, a lot of it. At one point Kong grabs a smaller giant monster and uses it to beat larger monsters...few things in cinema history have ever brought me more joy. The plot is still stupid and the human characters suck like they always have. This movie is the best one date because there is less human time and more monsters fighting, which is what we pay to see.
It's the Mario movie but with kaiju. I know the critics hated the Mario movie but I thought it was ok. Silly fun monster mash smackdown is what I got and I'm cool with it.
This has nothing to do with Barbie; there's a 'reason' explained in the movie why Godzilla turns pink. Is it a gimmick? Maybe. But there's a 'reason' for it. He's been red and blue, he is green, so I can see the logic behind him being a different color like pink. If you liked GvK, this is much better.
I liked the newer King of Monsters okay. I liked Godzilla -1 a lot. I hated GvK. Maybe I'll try this new one.
I thought this looked bad in the trailers maybe I’ll give it a shot based off my quick research, critics hate it, but audiences like it
Exactly. Saw it yesterday and felt similar. Good solid flick, nothing too crazy and good action/fight scenes. 7 / 10 at least.
