It's all about money, the globe would rather see ScarJo (didn't know that was a thing) than some other asian actress that would be unknown outside of asia.

I may not watch the first Ghost in the Shell just so I don't know what's happening in the movie. On a similar note... anyone anime fans watch Akira which came out around the same time?

I'm not sure about this one, but I do have a YUUUUUUUUUUGE problem with Goku being white.

I'd watch the movie, that seems to be the main inspiration but I've read they are pulling from other iterations as well, so there will probably be more surprises in store.

That trailer gave me some hope in this movie. All the CGI and stuff looks top notch. From what we've seen of the antagonist I'm inclined to think they'll borrow a lot of the storyline from 2nd GIG. The villain looks similar to Kuze. http://ghostintheshell.wikia.com/wiki/Hideo_Kuze

Yep, it's Kuze, confirmed in the cast credits so there is some hope for this one. They're dumbing it down in the the preview let's hope the entire movie isn't. Give me some Tachicomas!!

I remember reading that they brought in the original composer and had him redo the intro song for the film.....

How do these people never get glass in their eye(s)? That would be my name for this movie: Glass in the Eye, and I'd have a soundtrack done by that old band Glass Eye. God but they were good.

For all the talk about "white washing" I think its true that Asian countries actually like to see Hollywood super stars in movies...that's why they get cast. Heck, in the Great Wall, that was an Asian made film and they WANTED Matt Damon.

I might have to watch this movie butt-ass naked and alone if she's gonna be in that suit the whole movie. I jerked it twice off this five minute trailer alone
