I mean I think they'll be okay. Assuming some of the original 6 retire after Avengers 4 they're still left with Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain Marvel, the Guardians and so on. That's Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Brie Larson, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana (she'll be back too I'm sure), and so on. They're not exactly lacking in recognizable faces. Captain Marvel will be the most powerful character in the MCU, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's where all of the focus will be all the time.
I stumbled into someone yesterday who actually worked for Stark Industries. Now working for state of Indiana. And it's an aerospace company that specializes in unmanned technology. Fictional my ass.
Entertainment Weekly has done a full story...... https://ew.com/movies/2018/09/05/captain-marvel-ew-cover-brie-larson/ New Set photos..... https://ew.com/movies/captain-marvel-first-look-images/
What's wrong with it? I don't really care about suits. People (nerds) got into wars over suits during those Nolan Batmans, lulz. But I imagine they gave her a "meh" suit on purpose since it takes place in the 80s? 90s? Then give her something snazzy in Infinity Wars 2.
Now that you mention it.... I could buy that. I'm expecting more pop, but then again, my thoughts of superheroines in suits go way back to when I was a pubescent teen.
Was hoping for a trailer. Set photos never really get me excited. But I assume it won't be released for a long time, so no trailer.
With Marvel already talking about Captain Marvel being the face of the MCU moving forward as a replacement for Tony Stark I can't help but be concerned that they could be about to DC up a great thing.
I like Brie Larson, I don't know about her as Captain Marvel though. She just gives more of a funny blogger at Starbucks vibe, than this, short haired super heroine badass. Hopefully she transitions well. Excited to see Ronan again though.
I guess you haven’t seen her turn in Scott Pilgrim. She was absolutely not a girl next door blogger type. People hated RDJ being cast as Iron Man and couldn’t see it. No one could believe Chris Pratt pulling off a hero and he did it in Gotg and Jurassic World. Even Chris Hemsworth had doubters. Trust in Marvel Studios.
I had never seen that movie, she looks like she can pull it off. If there's anything Marvel's done, it's earn my trust, so i'm hopeful they can pull it off. Btw I doubted Tom Holland and Paul Rudd more than I ever did RDJ and Hems lol.
That movie is criminally underrated. I know that term gets thrown around a lot but this one truly was. I think one of the biggest reasons it failed to live up to expectations was because the lead was Michael Cera. He did do a good job imo but he's not leading man material. The rest of the cast is awesome including Bree Larson. It's a really fun movie and it's sad it was missed by a lot of people.
Here, here! Scott Pilgrim is one of my all-time favorite movies. Sublime mix of action, story and comedy. @Obito you should watch it now. I agree that Michael Cera was sort of a bad casting move to drive sales but he was perfect for the role. I remember the advertising being almost non-existent and I wasn't sold by the commercials I did see. Their marketing machine probably struck out by not using the internet to go viral.
Movie is epic AF, I watch it basically any time it's on. Chris Evans and Brandon Routh are dope in it, Kieran Culkin (Macaulay's brother) has some of the best lines in the movie.
