Yep. a shitty generic training montage doesn't bode well for the creativity of this movie. Do directors think CGI impresses anyone any more? They hold the camera on these wide shots of full CGI Atlantis like i'm supposed to stare in wonder. It would be far more impressive to me if they didn't use CGI for the underwater city. Then I would stare in awe.
This movie has a very "Transformery" feel to it. Holographic Orin even sounds like Optimus in his "find the magic trident" speech. I'm already having a bad feel about this flick... it didn't help that Aquaman's last name was already Curry.
I predict Transformery reviews but not so much box office. Maybe overseas (har har!) will do well. I'm definitely going to skip.
felt almost like Avatar with some of those action sequences. It will be a miracle if this is a decent movie.
come to think of it, I'm sure the movie will be at least a 6-7/10. i just don't like the aquaman character, seems so different than the ones in the dc cartoon movies. this one seems like an immature prick. and again, is he useless without water or what?

$94 million opening weekend in China. This has a shot at potential being the first $1 billion DCEU movie.
This just doesn't look like my cup of tea. I guess I should give it a chance. I don't particularly care for Jason Sonoma (or whatever). He was decent in GoT probably because he didn't speak English and just had to be a barbarian.
If the reviews are good, I'll check out the movie. Anything would be better than "Justice League." Anything. I'd watch "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" on loop for a day before watching "Justice League" again........well, wait. Less than 2 hours as opposed to 24 hours. OK, I take it back, but you get the idea.
I praise any person that cant withstand the entirety of a movie with mamoa as the lead. I hate him more than Bernie Mac hated the back of Forrest Whittakers neck.
I didn't think the trailer jokes were too funny the first time, but they did grow on me. We just coulda pee'd on it. Kinda funny.
Just saw this. Amazing movie! So different, and surprisingly refreshing from the formulaic Marvel crap. 9/10.
I think it will do very well because a whole lot of women are going to go to it. Indeed a lot of women will sucker their boyfriends and husbands to go. Also, they are telling all male viewers to wear rain coats if they go to see the movie. Apparently with so many female viewers the level of moisture in the air is expected to be higher than Magic Mike.
