We scored 105 but I felt that our offense couldn't have looked worse. Tons of looks that normally go down just weren't there. No need to panic but the pressure is on the Rox to win one or both in SLC.

 

This is the first TRUE moment the Rockets have faced adversity all season. And now we get to see how this team deals with it.

 

I understand its one game but we're seeing the end of Chris Paul's prime, what's worse is usually when the physical goes the mental picks up but his physical is going and his mental lapses are glaring. I'm not trippin on having him back next year regardless of the outcome of these playoffs but Morey needs to find a young gun to take over, in the draft. I don't care what country he's from or if he has to trade Eric Gordon to do it lol

 

As long as Mitchell is going to over guard Harden’s left hand and run him off the 3-point line, Harden might
as well set up as far left as he can while still being above the break.....gives Harden practically the entire width
of the court to operate and run screens to shed his defender along the way. Get 44-points on a ton of
2’s and free throws.

Utah is just trying to force everyone off the 3-point line a funnel them to Gobert/Favors tandem near the rim.
Take it to their chests if they want to take it to the rim. Get some fouls on them.

 

This is why I scoffed at those crowing about this team being the best Rockets team of all time. Clutch City Rockets ate adversity for breakfast on the way to back to back championships.

They also contest our threes really hard that we don't get off the shot on the initial catch. How many times do we see Ariza pump fake take one dribble and then miss the 3.

 

Yep. Utah adjusted. I'm of the belief that you can't take away both the 3's and paint. If Utah is....the mid range is open. CP3 and Harden shouldn't fight it. Take what the defense gives you. I believe CP3/Harden did.....only lost by 8. Considering the way we started.
