best Basketball IQ? no way. best ball IQ includes knowing when and where to shoot, how to score in the clutch, how to close out games, how to impose your will.

what McGrady has is best court vision. it's not just because he's tall and handles the ball, it's like he has eyes all around his head and can see stuff in-game that sometimes watching at HOME you cant even see. he also has great hands and makes good passes in traffic

Magic - maybe he doesn't count, since he's usually listed as a PG, but he played a lot at the 2 and 3 over his career.

LeBron - he at least needs to be in the discussion. He's been a 6-7 assist guy every year, where McGrady's been a 5-6 assist guy in his prime.

Clyde Drexler - the offense ran through him both as a Blazer and a Rocket, and he was as good a passer as anyone we've had as a two. IMO, he was better in that role than McGrady has been.

Paul Pressy - the "original" point forward.

Again, I'm not saying McGrady isn't a great passer at the 2/3. I just don't think I'd agree that he's THE BEST IN NBA HISTORY.
