Still remember his rhode island days with that guy named wheeler. Dude played his heart out...good times watching him grow and develop as a Rocket.
We love you, Cat. On a side note, does anyone wonder what statements like these mean: "The person confirmed Mobley's decision to the AP on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the player's behalf." Do players actually care when information about them is leaked? Wouldn't the player kinda sniff around his possee, wondering who did it? Or is it just a technicality, and no one actually cares?
Wow, definetely one of my favorite Rockets EVER. The man literally played his heart out every night, and even when he wasn't with the Rockets I rooted for him. I know he made the best choice for myself and his family, but he will definetely be missed (at least by me). Good luck Cat. To you and your family.
Wow, how sad for him. I hope he does well in post playing days. I may be mistaken, but I think he sorta aspired to be a broadcaster after his playing days. Maybe he could replace Drexler lol
I hope his medical condition isn't too serious. I suppose if the trade hadn't taken place, it may have been a while before this had come up?

Great Career Cat!!! Everyone mentions him when talking about 2nd round players who had a big impact! I can't believe he's already tallied 11 NBA seasons.
he gets all the money in his contract but the knicks dont pay him, their insurance does. this is the same for any player retiring for health concerns. and it helps the knicks more than if he actually played. but man it aint about the money, we forget these people grew up playing the game and thats all they know and without it there is a big void inside of them. it seems like a no brainer to stop playing once your life is on the line, but hes got to much love for the game and i cant believe he even thought about playing like this. lets not forget ex rockets jason collier dying unexpectantly for this exact same reason. i wish him the best i became a rockets fan in 99 so i grew up with the cat and steve, but i always identified more with cat i dunno maybe cuz hes lefthanded like me.
