Wife? He still has her on a string. Last I heard he was still engaged to her and did what he could to keep her from going on so many road trips.
Interesting that it was Will Harris and not Greinke- who should be throwing a simulated game yesterday or today.
Thanks. I'd thought I heard simulated game for Greinke. I guess they just decided a bullpen was good enough.
Abreu Armenteros Miley Peacock Smith Rondon Devo Not counting 4 starters and 4 locks for relief. Edit: I've included Urquidy as a 4th Starter, but he could be used as relief if Hinch decides to use Verlander for Game 4, Cole for Game 5.
I wish. Those guys are so smart it’s amazing. Everyone in the game is now, even the bottom organizations. It’s also amazing to think how dumb so many FO used to be even as recently as 20 years ago and now there’s not a sucker in the room.
This hurts me more than you can imagine, nah not hurts, but brings up "couldabeens". I'll tell you the story someday.
I’m all ears. I posted before about my buddy that got his first D1 job this year at 41. After law school we worked together in the north woods league- me as Asst GM and him as Asst coach. I got offered a full time gig up there and said, nah, I got other stuff to do. And I went out and did it. He kept grinding. Almost starved to death multiple times. But he made it where he will be a baseball lifer, support his family, and of things break right maybe even make good money 5-10 years from now if he can leapfrog up the ladder. I’ve probably tripled his income the last 20 years, maybe quadrupled. He will have to climb at least one more rung up the ladder to be equivalent in current earnings, and 2 more to get ahead of me in current earnings so he can start catching up for the 20 year head start I had on him. But, I can say this with no equivocation, I can promise you he’s had more fun in his professional life than I have had in mine. Now that I can see he’s made it I’d switch places with him in a heartbeat. But man, there’s no guarantee you can make it.
