Answers to what? How am I being obtuse by defending a poster whose daily life is actually affected by this? I understand all of the underlying issues of this I am old enough that I remember mt mom having friends who were black panthers, I was also a member of the FOI (Fruit of Islam) as a youngster, so I know all about the history of oppression. You can sympathize with the protesters and still be upset at what is happening in your own community and it pisses me off the keyboard activist are actually questioning a poster who is actually dealing with this in his neighborhood. I know you a passionate about the plight of black people in america and I respect that but going in RJ is not productive and comes off as virtue signaling. Maybe I got it wrong but why are you questioning RJ when all he is saying is he wants to protect his neighborhood?
I'm not going to restate where I stand on positions of race and LE. Having been on this site for about 15 years I'm not going justify myself. My posts are known and you can do the searches if you want to see where I stand. I'm telling you what I'm seeing, what I'm experiencing first hand. I'll tell you another thing I just heard this morning. A neighbor of mine who is a pretty liberal white guy went out last night to defend a neighborhood business. He's friends with the owner and heard that it had broken into. He went down there with a bat and now he's talking about getting a gun and shooting looters. He is no Trump supporter. These riots are forcing people who agree that what happened to George Floyd. What happened to PHilando Castile, what happened to Eric Garner, what happened to Michael Brown and so on were horrible injustices. Who believe that there is systemic racism. Who believe that there is oppression and inequality in our system. To choose sides. It's fracturing what was until two nights ago a united front on this issue. Those who excuse or justify these riots are making that fracture wider.

I still can't believe they arrested that CNN reporter.. What the hell was that about? Edit: Guess I should have read more since was released after being "wrongfully arrested".

I asked him how he would suggest that African Americans air their grievances about decades of systemic racism and police brutality. RJ responded with looting isn’t the answer. I said that I agree but he never answered the question. I posed the question again and I’m still waiting for a response.
He supported democratic socialism, which is widely supported in Europe by mainstream political parties. In my opinion, he was no communist, unless you believe J. Edgar Hoover. And an "agitator?" The Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 was "agitation" I applaud.

The people rioting aren't checking their political message boards to see if enough people are agreeing with them. We are experiencing the human condition. No amount of lambasting about rioting is going to prevent people from rioting. Only two ways to prevent riots. Solve the underlying issues or go full on authoritarian martial law on these communties.
