I'd do this trade but I can't get it to work under RealGM for some reason.

Houston trades: Steve Francis $3,473,520 to Indiana
Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,040 to Indiana
    TOTAL: $4,753,560

Indiana trades: Al Harrington $1,436,982 to Houston
Indiana trades: Jamaal Tinsley $749,160 to Houston
Indiana trades: Jonathan Bender $2,546,760 to Houston
    TOTAL: $4,732,902

    TRADE DECLINED
You have been assigned Trade ID number 466600

    Outlaw,

I think a player has to be signed for 90 days before he can be traded, maybe Tinsley is not eligible yet.

So, we're all blind, eh? What precisely was incorrect about TPL's analysis concerning Miller? I thought it was dead-on.

Miller's a guy with above-average passing skills, decent ball skills, and is big enough so he can post up smaller pg's. His shooting touch is average, and he's not a great on-on-one player, generally. Yes - he does get a lot of assists. But so would Francis if he played on a jump-shooting team. Francis' lack of assists is a product of our offense as much as anything else. When Mobley/Kt, etc play one-on-one so much... he isn't going to get 10 per game.

Francis is a better shot and more athletic. He's also been the dominant player on a team that actually had a winning record. Miller's cavs have been consistently terrible. And if you introduced some more good players, his scoring avg would decline.

I like Miller... but ultimately, I consider him a B+ pg, while Francis is an A- close to an A.

Miller does not equal Francis. Isn't that why Mihm is being added to the proposed trade? Duh.

Miller is fine. The Rockets would do well with him running the point-- as will Cleveland.

The question is this: do we pick up enough with Mihm to pick up what we lost by shipping Francis for Miller?

I don't know. I don't see enough games, but I'm very hesitant to give up Steve unless we know that we are going to have to.

Am I reading this wrong, or did this not come out like you intended? It looks like you're saying the Rockets are not a jump-shooting team. If that is what you meant, what the hell are you thinking?
