Before this thread turns into what they all do, I'll leave this here for everybody: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
Behaviorially and institutionally contrarian urban blacks priming the pump on a fifty-year self-fulfilling prophecy.
starts out as "peaceful" protest about a teen's death a couple of hours later shops are smashed up and looted, gas stations are lit up, riots and looting break out into other nearby towns.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Reporters say : Cops all removed their badges and id tags <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Ferguson?src=hash">#Ferguson</a></p>— Mike Klonsky (@mikeklonsky) <a href="https://twitter.com/mikeklonsky/statuses/499765206453477377">August 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So far two journalists arrested (and subsequently released) without cause, and now it sounds like a city alderman has been arrested for being outside.
Urban riots never seemed to get too far out of their particular neighborhoods, I wonder if spilling over into other suburban areas could create a lot of posse or castle-doctrine type shootings.
So much stupidity in Ferguson, MO. So much stupidity by the "protesters" (A.K.A., looting thieves). Some large degree of stupidity on the part of OP as well. Anyone who riots and loots and destroys their own community like this - for any freaking reason - is a COMPLETE moron. Anyone who justifies it is also a moron. You want to correct a single injustice by committing a thousand more? That's freaking stupid. And since when does committing a crime after another crime has already been committed "fix" the previous crime's impact? Dumb. DumbDumbDumbDumbDumb. Freaking DUMB.
AT A MCDONALDS! Seriously. Just f#ckin ridiculous. But hey, the Gov of MO is canceling his appearance at the State fair set for tomorrow so he can show up in Ferguson. Might be a bit too late to stop whatever more f#ckery the Ferguson Police Chief will let go on.
I read some tweets from Egyptians and someone supposedly in Gaza giving tips to ppl in Ferguson about how to deal w/the tear gas.
Oh also, very little coverage on tv yet. Def nothing on Fox News at last check. I believe MSNBC had a short segment on it. I haven't been able to check Al-Jazeera. Didnt see much on it on CNN.

I'm sure we all agree w/ some things you wrote but keep in mind, the police were firing tear gas at (per most reports of those on the ground in Ferguson) peaceful protesters. They weren't looting like they were two days ago. They were protesting loudly and with their hands up. The police/SWAT I guess decided instead of being active while actual looting was going on, they'd be active while a simple protest was happening. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Police using high-pitched sound as a warning. Sounds like manic crickets. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ferguson?src=hash">#ferguson</a></p>— Andy Carvin (@acarvin) <a href="https://twitter.com/acarvin/statuses/499738752244535297">August 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Apparently LRADs are being used as well on the protesters.
