I always thought the version told in the movie was too good to be true. The fact that he signed with Ole Miss (both parents alma mater) makes the cynic in me very suspicious. Especially in the dirty world of the SEC and college football in general.

Oher is already a multi millionaire. Why would he do this for money?

That last part is interesting, the parents are apparently worth 200 million. Why would they screw their son out of 250k?
