should have drafted james harden instead of thabust. lol, there was no point in that pick at all. even if thabeet was good, they already had gasol.

Spurs have a superstar player, his name is Tony Parker.

This is exactly why the Rockets didn't want to draft him. He just disappears too often when he should be the guy carrying his team.

Surprising. He was being benched for George Hill at times just a little while ago.

Memphis is what everyone thought they were, a nice little playoff team that every 2-3 years will win a playoff series and no more. They play hard and have some good role players but lack a super star and are locked in salary cap wise.

If Paul and Griffin were healthy, the Clippers win. If the Clippers had a non-mongloid coach they win in 6.

They could use Chase Budinger. All he has to do is catch and shoot which is something they don't have much of.

They need to re-tool a bit but they'll be fine.

The Grizzlies have a very bright future considering how relatively young their roster is. When the Kobe's and Wade's really start to drop off in about 2 or 3 years, the Grizzlies will start to peak and that is when their window for a title really opens up. The team has incredible depth and they have an assortment of pieces that could potentially net them a true superstar down the line, but for now, the Grizzlies are in a very good spot.

Gasol, sure. Conley maybe I buy a bit. Rudy Gay? He is basically what he is at this point now. Not that guys can't improve at age 25, he just hasn't really added much to his game. Not that his game is weak. It just hasn't changed.

I don't think gay has much room to grow.

6 years in the league, next year will be his 7th. I think we have seen most of what he can do. Not many players start dramatically improving in their 7-9 years...if anything that is their prime then they start to decline.

Conley has some room to grow I feel, more than Gay.

I think if they were smart and forward thinking they would look to get rid of Gay before it's too late and he has no value left.

I don't think you should write them off. They should be really good next year as well. They need to stay healthy and hope that the chemistry develops.

I like Lionel Hollins also. Dude has swag

Except that they were just defeated by a team that is about the same age level and has far more potential to improve ( heck, hiring an average coach like McHale instead of Vinny De Fail would help them a lot), and then there's the Thunder.

Memphis has multiple All-Stars they could trade to improve the team along with very solid role players.

They may have peaked with their current roster, but they don't need to blow it up, they can make moves to get better.

Thing is, it's hard to identify where they are lacking. They have size and talent down low, a good PG and good wing players.
