The other day I stumbled upon, on youtube, a classic Sesame Street skit about the letter H that used a process called scanimation. I don't know why - but this skit scared the **** out of me when I was a kid. There is a guy who goes by "NantoVision" that has all kinds of classic Sesame Street skits. If you have interest in looking at some of these, definitely check out his page on youtube. So, post some of your favorite Sesame Street skits. I ask if you use youtube, to describe the skit or give a title in words underneath the embed. There may be some that are not on youtube, so just describe the skit. Who knows, tell "NantoVision" about it and he will probably post it to youtube (this guy seems like he has every Sesame Street episode on tape, lol!). Anyway, these bring back great memories: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1ZpjH1WcWOM&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1ZpjH1WcWOM&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Lefty and the Golden AN <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDIM3ahj8E4&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDIM3ahj8E4&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Scanimate - Letter H <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/28yjnwHx1Q0&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/28yjnwHx1Q0&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> The very bizarre, Mummenschanz troupe (thanks to NantoVision who found it) acting out same and different. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vs5VYOnpMrw&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vs5VYOnpMrw&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> A clown illustrates what he looks like without his makeup on. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5jdP7HUPbVs&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5jdP7HUPbVs&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> "A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter" <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xRcPIyiQNjY&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xRcPIyiQNjY&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> A blue anything muppet can't quite get the right spider costume on (for some reason, this one used to disturb me). <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0j-Q_sISW8I&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0j-Q_sISW8I&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Last one - The Gorilla Employment Agency. I always to this day, randomly get "Happy Feet" in my head. Incidentally, it's the first instance I know of/remember seeing Jim Carrey on a screen. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hUh7MCfm_ZY&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hUh7MCfm_ZY&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Here are some from a while back. My kids still run around the house singing that Milk song. My youngest sings Milk, Milk, Cat. Not sure why but it is funny to think about getting milk from a cat, unless you are Greg Focker http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=131618
Dude, I can't even remember what happened last week, much less remember Sesame Street when I was a kid. Although, I remember the part with Sign Language which was cool.
I think this one: And this one: And lastly: "Son." "Yessir? " "If you wanna keep working here... you better lay off them drugs..." "Yessir. " ^ name that movie (difficulty:easy) edit: damn you, bladeage...!
OH yeah, and how about the one where Big Bird (I'm pretty sure it was him) who tried to sing the alphabet as one big word? I tried to do that for the longest time... I finally gave up.
