There's not much that will change my mind here, but as I said Melo has surpassed Dirk. Sure, Dirk may be more important and more valuable to his team than Melo may be. But as far as pure individual talent and skills goes? It's Melo. I respect Dirk's hard work in the off-season and I respect Dirk's shot making ability, but I would have to say Melo is the better player at this point. Melo is every bit as good of a scorer, if not better. He's much better at getting to the line, he's the better passer, defender and he's every bit as good of a rebounder at least pound for pound. I may just prefer Melo's game over Dirk, but career for career Dirk is still better. Right now though? It goes to Melo.
I would take Melo only because I think he realizes when the regular season ends and the playoffs start.
