Statement Regarding Tracy McGrady The following statement was released by Rockets Head Orthopedic Dr. Walter Lowe following Rockets G Tracy McGrady’s MRI this afternoon at the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute. ”Today's MRI showed no change from the test previously conducted in September. Tracy is on a normal course of recovery and has the expected level of performance for someone at his stage following microfracture surgery. We will continue to monitor his progress over the coming weeks to ensure that pain and swelling are kept to a minimum after further periods of practice participation."
Figured this would be what they said. Here is my post from the locked Maya calendar thread from yesterday. Moestrodamus better watch out for DaDaCayce. Link to thread Here is what the Mayan calendar predicted. 1. TMac will practice. 2. MRI will show it is getting there 3. Rockets say they are going to take it slow but he looks good. 4. Adelman will say he needs to practice multiple days and hard to prove he is ready to avoid an in and out deal like last year. 5. Tmac will say he should be playing now. 6. Adelman and Morey will say he is still not quite there, and to have patience. 7. Tmac will say something stupid in the media 8. Tmac will still be sitting 9. TMac's fan club will say the Rockets are doing him dirty. 10. DD will argue a lot with them. OK, I will try to avoid number 10 this time. DD
I don't think we're parting with T-mac just yet. Maybe Adelman is the one that doesn't want to play him.

This confirms my suspicion! Even the Doctor is working in cahoots with Morey and Adelman! Adelman is so emabaressed to face McGrady with the truth he even stayed away from the practice. which had been planned for months. If any of this is true the Rockets will loose creditability with all of the NBA and it's fans! They must put the needs of the team first before any of their peronal agenda. This season, the Rockets need to have Tracy McGrady contributing to the success of our Team!!!
This does NOT sound good. So, he's STILL recovering, yet is putting pressure on the organization to play. ...Has the EXPECTED(decreased) level of performance for someone at HIS STAGE following microfracture surgery...so his knee is not 100% and has swelling/weakness. The fact that they are going to TRY and keep pain and swelling to a minimum after PRACTICE is not a good sign. Huge ego, tons of money, whiny perpetual loser that can't figure out why, and now he'll never be the player he was at a much younger age than people usually are when they experience this problem...yeah, this isn't going to end pretty...
Can anyone understand what "Expected" means? Can anyone tell me what is the minimum? If this is really what the doctor said, it gives me an impression as followed. Don't expect tmac will recover completely back to his old time. At his stage, he is no different from other athletes who had similar microstructure surgery. If I understand correctly, his athleticism is gone forever. Clearly, he still has pain and swelling after practice but the doctor believes the pain and swelling have been kept as little as they can.
It doesn't make too much sense playing him anyway. Rockets are not going to win title this year, Tmac is not likely to stay with Rockets after this season, so why not just let young players have more time to develop, so they can be a contender next year?
Is this result official? I'd like to hear some comments from RA or DM. I don't believe all the crap reporters or sources say
Messages conveyed via the Rockets "media relations" scarcely has more credibility with me than what McGrady's people post on his website. I consider this to be non-news. The Rockets aren't in a rush to bring him back, while McGrady wants to get back asap. But neither side can be trusted as to his true status, physically.
