Contract negotiations. Sounds like he had a meeting either with his agent or with a team that he couldn't miss. I wouldn't jump to conclusions saying he's in the wrong for not showing up. This is one of the biggest events in his life and will make him financially free forever if everything goes right.
Yeah he clearly said contract negotiations. i honestly can't understand what charitable events have to do with NBA contract negotiations, but that's definitely the excuse Luc gave to the mayor about Clint's absence. Not to read too much into this, but I wonder if he's following the advice of his agent or if he's personally butt hurt over the process. Either way...it's not good. Clint's agent is the same agent who got Gorgui Deng that atrocious contract. So maybe he's been filling Clint's head with nonsense. Very disappointing and proof that the negotiations are contentious. I wish I knew what we were offering.

Thats what the above was saying. We all don't know that. Don't just to a conclusion. He may have had a meeting. A meeting to discuss a contract in the amount that can set you financially free for a lifetime is priority over a charity soccer game.
