I'd say LeBron (in the playoffs) and KD are above Harden. That's about it. Like many of you have said, I haven't seen AD consistently carry teams like Harden can. Although he does get massive props from me for humiliating Lillard and the Blazers in the first round. Blazers are like the Wizards, they keep yapping without anything to back it up with.

if Harden could at least maintain his regular season level of play in the playoffs he would be the clear cut 2nd best player in the NBA Harden gets way too much disrespect and is underrated. I’ve seen fools say that he hasn’t even surpassed Allen Iverson in the all-time rankings. Really? How many players could do better than Harden as a solo star? Kobe had a suspect supporting cast from 04-07. He missed the playoffs once and got bounced in the 1st round twice. Harden had a suspect supporting cast and carried them to 56 wins and a WCF appearance. His impact on the game is tremendous. I’d love to see how KD would’ve done by himself going up against a team the caliber of this current GS squad like Harden had to do in games 6 and 7. It would’ve been ugly.

Not top 5 my @ss. Harden has done more with so little than most of the players listed. This past season was the first season in Houston, James has had legit help in CP3 and he went to the conference finals with a game away from the finals. It is lebron and then James Harden. The Spurs are the Spurs so Kawhi has definitely had help. Durant had three MVP's playing with him and didn't win. Now Durant has a 73 win team that he's playing with where no one can really double team him without another one of their stars punishing the opposing team. Trade Eric Gordon for Klay Thompson and we'll see if that Warriors team even has that 73 win season or first title. The two best players in the NBA both have James in their names.

In my humble mind and opinion I am not sure sure Durant is clearly better than Harden. If I took those two players and switched them last season. Perhaps inserting a SG that would be equal on the Rockets since Durant would be taking Ariza's spot. Would the Rockets be better? If you did the same thing to the Warriors? Hell how would that even work with Thompson on the team? Durant has a 73 win team and 3 all stars, and potentially would have lost to the Rockets with Paul remaining healthy. How would that conversation with Max and Smith gone today in that video then?
Since his first year, Durant has never had to a carry a team on his own in the NBA. Harden is more durable and creates more.

There's only 3 people who you can argue are better than Harden: Lebron, Curry and KD. Kawhi is a better 1v1 player but basketball is a 15v15 sport, Harden is better because he elevates the entire team AND he doesn't have health issues. Kawhi had the most rest of any star player these last three years but is still injured and even missed most of last season. Davis is getting there BUT like the other poster said he didn't get to the playoffs with the same cast of guys Harden took to 3rd seed last year. And he even had "Good" Ryan Anderson, the 16 ppg scorer the Rox paid 18M a year for. Harden got "medicore" Anderson who only scored 12ppg last year and then evolved into "Trash" Anderson who scored 28% 3 pt FG last year in the playoffs and was a total 0 this year.
