Not reproaching anyone for watching superhero movies. I used to watch them, and not too long ago. I'm just saying I've had too much. I'm sick of them. Marvel is probably a little heavy on the accelerator since they started monetizing their movie rights, but lord knows they aren't the first and it's not bothered me before -- so I think it's me.

There are quite a few, but every Marvel movie is quality. I can't speak for the other studios...

He is always that dude in the background when stuff goes down. You'll see soon enough. He's the Robert Horry of superheroes basically.

But... meh, they're entertaining. Keeps y'all kids making them more money... even if it's the same thing over and over.

I'm going to take all those posters and make a huge TURD of a poster that says:
    "MoRE CRAPPY SUPERHERO MOVIES"

He's popular in the comics, I think that translates well to the movies. Same with Guardians. With Captain Marvel, Inhumans, Ant Man... not so sure there. None of those ever seemed to have more than a very tiny cult following. If that. Marvel might be grasping at straws on those but cant blame them for trying.

No one cared about Guardians until the movie was announced. Then they had a new run of comics and the movie was amazing. If they do a good job with the films, they'll get interest. Period.

This is key in the Marvel strategy
If they can make this movie. . . entertaining and successful
It will make DC looks like crap for *****ting on the Wonder Woman movie
    for decades

I don't think Guardians was ever a mainstream book but it was definitely popular with those who read it. The consensus seemed to be that the characters and recent stories were quality work.

I think using likeable characters and good, proven stories is what makes these movies work so well, not the fact that they're just "superhero" movies.

With some of these new titles... I haven't seen the critics or fans come out and support them in the past. So I think it's risky.

I haven't met a single person that had heard of Guardians prior to the movie, including comic fans. I know a lot of people that know who Black Panther / Captain Marvel is. That's just me though.

Unless they're cornering Jack Bauer's daughter or fixing Liono's car.

Blame movie studio consolidation and quarterly earnings guidance, second- and third-world countries for finally getting multi-plexes and comic books' lack of overt nationalism or open-faced autonomous female sexuality. You don't wanna see John Rambo playing soccer with Mujahideen 3 years before Glasnost and Afghans going murder-crazy.

This is the part that gets me. Why do we need a Spiderman reboot already? X-Men First Class was a solid movie, but did we really need an origins story so soon? Another Batman reboot...
