Would love to have him. Dmo would soak up every piece of info Scola has & he would be a stop gap in case Smith doesn't stay with us. However this offseason, we don't have much to offer in the way of salary or pt.

    Frontcourt is too loaded, imo.

If he can hit his free throws at better than a 60% clip, sign him up.

Scola is good. His game requires zero athleticism (not like he had it even when he was younger). Should be a contributor still.

That's September. Pre-Smith signing, DMo & Jones break out.

Sign him to teach the front court guys how to shoot FTs.

Undersized big men that cant rebound.

There's always space for those on Houston Rockets.

If we resign Smith and everyone else returns and is healthy, there's no spot for Scola. We'd be looking at:

    C - Dwight, Capela, Dorsey
    PF - D-Mo, T-Jones, Smith

Now if Smith signs someplace else and/or T-Jones or D-Mo is traded as part of a package for a point guard, then a spot opens up. But for the moment, I don't see where he fits in.

One of my favorite Rockets of all time. I want to put his/my jersey back on.

    Cut dorsey, sign Luifa.

Definitely better than Joey Dorsey and will be good in the locker room especially if you bring in Llull and keep Prigioni. You'll have a lot of guys familiar with each other then. Hell bring back Delfino too, what's been going on with him?

At least there would not be any hack-a-scola garbage.

Possibly trade Jones (even though I love Jones) for a more qualified guard (preferably point) then cut Dorsey and sign Scola to the minimum

Scola has a nice mid range jumper and can hit his free throws.

Trade 2 or 3 of our bigs for a star point guard and then sign Scola to a vet minimum. I'm okay with that. In the meantime...um, Dallas.

This is the tweet. Sounds like it was from a chat with Scola in September.

En septiembre hablé con Luis Scola sobre futuro. Guarda buen recuerdo de Houston (y Kevin McHale le quiere) y dijo que China es gran opción.
— David Alarcón (@DAlarcon_NBA) April 16, 2015

Translated: In September I spoke with Luis Scola on future. Fond memories of Houston (and Kevin McHale wants him) and said that China is a great option.

Luis Scola will fill a need left by the Donatas Motiejunas trade.
