Apparently Rockets knew dude was damaged goods.... That said it worth taking a flyer on him at this point? If so, would he be playoff eligible?
Luc has no knees and Rockets have no more spots available. I would sign Luc for next year without question.
He’s a perennial DPOY candidate whose teams get significantly worse defensively when he leaves so he’s obviously a top free agent.
If they released him it means he's definitely damaged goods, Clippers will try to build a contender in a couple of months, keeping Luc made a lot of sense on paper so, yeah.
I’d have CP invite him out to a couple workouts this offseason and if he looks good, sign him to a 2-year deal. Not this year though...
Looking forward to the talking heads saying how the Clippers are screwed for waiving him and not paying 15 mill to secure Trevor Ariza.
Interesting. I wrote him off when I heard that he had had nothing done to his shoulder during the off-season, and was glad that Morey didn't keep him. I didn't know he had issues with his knees. Apparently, thanks to Daryl, we dodged a bullet. Having said that, I feel bad for the guy. Healthy, he was, or is, a valuable rotation player. Luc not being able to play worth a damn in the playoffs last season was yet another blow we were unable to overcome. I still believe that we should be playing for a 2nd championship, not the first with Harden and Paul. I know that I'm far from the only one here who feels that way. Lady Luck looked away when we needed her most. This year will be different. I heard that she's gotten some special contact lenses that will clear everything up. You heard it here first! ;-)
Rocket need draft picks not a injured, old rotation player. Still no shoulder surgery, to get it repaired, dislocation of his shoulder will happen again. Remember Wade Miller a Starting Pitcher who didn't want shoulder surgery, then got released, he bounced around teams then left quirtly retired.
I am secretly hoping that Luc gets healthy over the summer and then signs with the Rockets next year for the minimum again.
