Anyone here with some good info?

Went with a credit union at first but the fees and upfront cash was way above what I was wanting to put up

I'm a USAA member, they look to have great service, and might go with them

Tried Quicken today, they pre-approved me for less than 1.5X my income, over $100,000 less than the previous two.

Steady income, credit rating over 800. Will give more details on a need to know basis.

Thanks for all of the info.

    In all seriousness...

SoFi has lower costs, doesn't put PMI if you aren't putting down a full 20% but has higher rates
Quicken has a good reputation for fast closing and good customer service
WesLend Financial is someone I hear on the radio all the time that says they won't build any costs into your loan and will waive all closing costs (no idea if it's true)
I ended up using a loan broker that sent me to Franklin Mutual. Not a big fan of the process they went through.

I think USAA doesnt do PMI. As justtxyank pointed out, lenders will build PMI into the interest rate if they advertise no PMI.

Use USAA as your base and shop around. Share your offer with other lenders and let them point out where the other lender is screwing you over.
