Is this soon-to-be AG Sessions' handwriting on this or Pence's?

Pence is looking better by the minute from not saying anything radically inflammatory in the last (sweet Jesus) three weeks, so I'm guessing Sessions.

Oh man. It's hard to imagine that people were worried about losing their rights had the Democrats won the election. Now look at this crap. Disgraceful.

I'll believe it when I see it but I cant miss an opportunity to say fack the Christian Right and their involvement in politics. A bunch of hypocrites who don't follow their own teachings to Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's. Also, Jesus was probably the first SJW and they too dumb to even realize that. What a bunch of morons. Also you Christians in here, please don't deny Jesus was the first SJW. He practically begged to be betrayed and crucified.

But you would support Trump over Hillary, that's how he won the election. This is what this country is like at this moment, we deserve all this.

I did not vote for Trump or Hilary. And you're wrong, the Christian Right has been meddling in politics since forever. This isn't new or because of Trump. If Cruz would have won, you would have seen the same thing.

And don't confuse my hate for the Christian Right and their meddling as an endorsement of the left's socialist cradle to grave policies. I prefer somewhere in the middle but these two reckless parties hate each other so much it's damn near impossible to find moderates who can win.

Hilarious slut shaming was thrown in there as well.
Can't wait to see service refused on the basis that someone may be having sex outside of marriage.

Okay, so it looks like everyone who was scared of having their rights taken away under President Trump were justified. I fully expect people, right or left, to support the oncoming protests when/if this happens.

If you want to galvanize the left and the center and further add ammo to a resistance movement, this is a great way to start. Short term sacrifice, long term gain i say. The court of public opinion will pass judgement against it, or maybe not and we will continue our decent into an authoritarian theocracy. A conservative packed SC might rule on this when the challenge comes from the ACLU or similar as they could take on Roe again.

Anything is possible in Trump's America. As General Thade has so eloquently put it, leftists aren't welcome here anymore. Most of the hard right in this board would be delighted if we just shut-up, retreated to our FEMA camps and offered no counter to their vision of America.

Then again, this could all be great wailing and gnashing of teeth over nothing. I hope so...

Well, won't this cut both ways? Can't the Church of the flying spaghetti monster require us to quit paying taxes and to not serve lattes to people wearing red baseball caps?

Dems just need to play dirty and say Trump wants to allow Mosques to create democrats so they can infiltrate America and terrorize.

Freedom to discriminate isn't going to be up to the President or Congress. Ultimately, something like this would go to the Supreme Court, and I would expected it to be defeated, even with Gorsuch.

Also, real churches should oppose the repeal of the Johnson amendment. I don't really disagree with the principle that churches should be able to have a political voice just like any other corporation, but to break down that wall would weaponize churches for delivering votes and campaign dollars. Even if a church decides not to participate in politics in that way, their credibility will be undermined by a public perception that they might be just a political play. If a church is really looking to save souls for Jesus, they should keep the wall that separates them from government high. The ironic thing is that to oppose repeal would be itself a political thing to do. So Christians would need to oppose it instead as private citizens.

If enacted, it's now legal to refuse service to the Donald because of his many adulteries?

Why not just get rid of the Civil Rights act which we are at it. What happens when you religion prohibits you from sitting next to women or serve infidels or some other random thing.

But not if Hillary had won...

I mean, this should shock absolutely NO ONE. This has been the Republican mandate for years. They are going to go after RvW in the next four years, and if you don't believe that... well, you haven't been paying attention.

So don't pull this false equivalency bullshit and pretend you're above it because they were both bad candidates. If you dislike the religious right but sat on your hands during this election, you handed the keys to the country to the religious right and they are going to forever change the American dynamic. Even if there's a sweeping reversal in 2020, all that president is going to do is spend four years undoing all this damage - assuming they have a Congress that can meaningfully help.

Right now, there's a lot of displaced anger at Trump and his voters - we ought to be directing that anger at people like you.
