Mostly banter, give your wildest conspiracy as to what went AWOL here. Did Morey refuse to up his offer? Did the league have a hand in the deal?

    Nope.

But it certainly reinforces the media's shilling for Westbrook all season about having "no help".

the KD superteam vs RW superteam is a compelling drama series for silver to sell come playoff time

They wanted Kanter over Anderson... and I would too... but it's cooler to say it's rigged... so it is...

Brock Osweiler was the QB; Bill O'Brien was the play-caller/coach . . . no wonder this thing failed.

No, it's not the nbas fault. Its Durant or Quire Sultan.

He made OKC a victim. Now people pity them, and this is what you get.

The Thunder are some better role players away from having the ability to win it all. This is an incredible team.

We fell to 3/4 with SA now, possibly 5, depending on how Minni fairs.

other teams chose okc players over rockets players.

we tried to trade gordon for george but they took vic
we tried to trade anderson for melo but they took kanter.

admittedly contractual commitment and age played huge factors, perhaps more so than on court production last year but it still makes the "harden has tons of great teammates, and westbrook has no teammates" narrative look dumber

I hope melo ruins the chemistry, How can you have two ball hogs work the corners.

OKC b****es incessantly about lack of cap smoothing causing them to lose KD.

*Get PG and Melo for scraps*

The league wanted Westbrook to have a super team so they can have the big story of Westbrook vs KD in the WCF

Well screw @Drexlerfan22 and his blazers. They will struggle to be a playoff team

I'm all for hating on the NBA, but only when it's warranted.

This can be partially blamed on five factors:
Anderson - for being paid a lot of money
Morey - for paying Anderson a lot of money
Carmelo - for expanding his destination list
Mills - for extorting Melo into expanding his trade list
Portland - for being unusually annoying this offseason

Curry win west, durrant win melo, klay win pg. Other warriors teammates also better than okc. Rockets still a little bit better than okc.

It could also be making the thunder vs warriors a real rivalry again. Durant leaves they get Westbrook more help... great story line. Knicks do open up against GS first game of the season.

League had nothing to do with it. It's purely on Melo for expanding his list. His "only Houston" stand was the only reason we were even in the game. I doubt the league convinced him to chicken out.
